I like to have fun; therefore, we will have fun exploring the Dublin Mountains, local hills and rugged coastline. Flying drones, beautiful landscapes, friendly people and unique dining. We can enjoy some tourist hot spots but primarily we will visit local favorites.  If you are a history buff, my home village of Dalkey, Co Dublin boasts five castles on one street and can trace evidence of habitation back 4000 years. You will not be disappointed! There are literally castles everywhere. To make life easy I will take care of the driving (deal with crazy Irish roads) and keep journeys short to dedicate as much time to learning and and enjoyment. We can tailor our exploration based on individual ability but you will have to be open to adventure and keep up to take it all in.   Note: Lodging is not including in this package. Ian can make suggestions of local hotels.

About this trip

Ian has thousands of hours of drone flying experience conducting operations, training with Emergency Services and developing concepts. Teaching, guest lecturing and being heavily involved in the European Space program enables me to share a broad picture of global applications and best use cases.  Lots of learning, discussion and an expectation of many questions from our guests. If you have specific areas of inquiry, please flag them in advance and we will endeavor to root out interesting topics, people, advancements or places to visit. Come on a trek and learn about how drones came to be where they are, what we do with them in real life and where I think they are going. Hobby drones, delivery drones, passenger drones, UTM systems, defense technology and much more.  We will visit and fly local historical sites and learn a bit about Irelands rich history, 800 years of indentured servitude, civil war and what we have achieved with 100 years of freedom.
