Come on a trek and learn about how drones came to be where they are, what we do with them in real life and where I think they are going. Hobby drones, delivery drones, passenger drones, UTM systems, defense technology and much more.&nbsp; We will visit and fly local historical sites and learn a bit about Irelands rich history, 800 years of indentured servitude, civil war and what we have achieved with 100 years of freedom. &nbsp;

While we’ll visit a few well-known sights, the emphasis is on local favorites that reveal the true character of the area.&nbsp;Highlights and historyIf you’re a history enthusiast, Ian’s home village of Dalkey, County Dublin is a highlight: one street alone features five castles, and the area shows evidence of habitation going back about 4,000 years. Historic sites are everywhere, so there’s plenty to discover.Logistics and paceTo keep things simple, Ian will handle the driving and the quirks of Irish roads, keeping travel times short so we can spend more time learning and enjoying each stop. We’ll tailor the pace and activities to individual abilities but be prepared for a bit of adventure and an energetic pace so you can make the most of every moment.

Two Day Ireland Drone Excursion

We are offering an optional, customized guided tour on Monday, 30 2026 for participants who wish to extend their stay. The tour does not include an extra hotel night, but we can arrange an additional night with our host hotel on your behalf. You may also prefer to stay within the city limits of Dublin to enjoy a different Irish experience.We will host a Zoom meeting for everyone interested in the extra-day tour.
